SERI’s analyst developed a DNA profile from items police found in suspect Glen McCurley’s trash bin; this profile matched DNA found on the victim’s clothing. Police provided SERI with McCurley’s reference DNA sample , and within 6 days the analyst was able to confirm McCurley’s DNA matched the DNA from the victim’s clothing.
